Assalamu alaikum brothers and sisters in Islam.
My dad had kindly bought us a book called “Islamic studies”. Alhamdulillah we have been reading it a lot and now we know much more about Islam.
We are learning about the Quran. Here are some things I want to write in this post:
- The meaning of the Quran.
- Who the Quran was revealed to.
- The most best known sacred books that came before the Quran and which prophets they were revealed to.
Number 1. the meaning of the Quran. The Quran is the uncreated word of Allah.
The word “Quran” is frequently mentioned in the book itself. ( See 2:185, 10:37, 10:61 and 17:106 )
Number 2: Who the Quran was revealed to. The Quran was revealed to the prophet Muhammad (SAW) in the month of Ramadan on the night of power or decree “Laylatul-Qadr”. It was revealed in the Arabic language: “Surely, we have made it in the Arabic language so that you may be able to understand it.” (43:3)
Number 3: The most best known sacred books that came before the Quran and which prophets they were revealed to.
Some of the prophets were given sacred books from Allah. Here are some of the best known books: Torah, ( at-Tawraat) which was given to the prophet Musa;
The psalms, (Az-Zaboor) which was given to the prophet Dawood;
and the Gospel (Al-Injeel) which was given to the prophet Isa. And the last book was the Quran which was given to the prophet Muhammad (SAW).
Well that’s all for today! This post will InshaAllah come in really handy if you are trying to do some research on the quran!
Assalamu alaikum Everyone!
I hope you had a really happy Eid! We went out on Eid to a great place called Alqasba. And Mashallah it is a really nice place for people to celebrate their Eid’s! We also took a few pictures. It was really fun Alhamdulillah, we went on boats and we walked around and we also went in the fountains! You see the fountains are coming out of the ground and they just put it there for the children to run around and get soaking wet! It is really fun and Inshallah I will share some pictures with you today! Here are some pictures of Alqasba.
Picture 1. This was the boat ride! Mashallah it was really nice! In Alqasba they put out the fireworks every Eid and we saw them preparing the fireworks while we was on the boat ride.
Picture 2. The fountains were great! They even can dance to music! A person blows a whistle and all the kids come out of the fountain. Then, they do the dancing fountain show!
Picture 3. This is a palm tree in a building! We was amazed when we first saw this! It was really fun Alhamdulillah.
The other cool thing is that there is a roof on the boat as you can see and it lights up in the dark! Just one more quick thing is that we saw the palm tree in the building when we was on the boat ride.
The picture of the fountains was taken from a high wheel thing called the Etisalat. It’s basically something like the London eye but much faster and it goes round more times
