Assalamu alaikum everyone!

I haven’t been posting for a while I know. And I really missed my blog. And you have probably deserted my blog by now. But soooo much has happened! Okay, not THAT much.

Wait wait WAIT! First things first. I wanted to post about a week ago and a few times before that, but my blog was not opening up. It was blocked or something and that was really annoying. But then we fixed that alhamdulillah! We had a big party sleepover in the beginning of April and my BFFs came over, Now that was fun! And 2-4 days after that, Ohhh you’ll never guess what happened!

My hama beads arrived!  Yep, you heard me alright, HAMA BEADS! Last time I hama beaded I was in Sharjah. You see, a few days before the sleepover, I had ordered some hama beads with my allowance and they had arrived after the sleepover. I was so happy and excited that I got it and started hama beading straight away! Hooray!

IMG 0202 300x200 Latest news!

We also have been looking for the card reader but we have had no luck, as we can’t find it ANYWHERE. And now I can’t transfer all the pictures I took on the camera, onto the laptop :( I am making hama bead boxes at the moment which are looking good alhamdulillah. Inshallah I will put a photo of it on one of my posts (As soon as we find the card reader).

And that’s all!

Wassalamu alaikum,
Habiba ;)

Assalamu alaikum my dear readers!

I am very sorry that I haven’t been posting for nearly a month. I have been extremely busy these days and when I did have time I would always not know what to write about. I will be very busy this coming week too. As my mum’s friend needs us to look after her two small children for the week. But I’ll try to post as much as I can Inshallah. Well, I just wanted to give you another “Tell Me What” post to keep you busy for now.

Here goes! Bismillah:

The birds that feed on other animals are called the birds of prey. Some of the most common predators are eagles, hawks, vultures, falcons, kestrels and buzzards. Most birds of prey are strong fliers with sharp eyes, hooked beaks and powerful talons or claws. These birds usually swallow big chunks of food.

common buzzard 1 300x185 What are the birds of prey?

The birds of prey attack in several ways. The kestrel hunts by hovering over an open ground and, then, pouncing upon it’s prey before it can escape. Birds of prey have a very good eyesight. As they hover many metres above the ground, they can detect the slightest movement of a mouse in the grass below. The falcon stoops or dives its head first at its prey and catches it in it’s claws. Vultures are the biggest birds of prey. They do not hunt. Rather, they feed on carrion ( dead animals ). The peregrine falcon while stopping on its prey can reach up speeds of 350 km/hr.

And that is the end! This topic has quite a lot of interesting facts about birds doesn’t it? Here is a quick small fact for you:
The palm nut  vulture is the only vegetarian bird of prey and it feeds on oil nuts.

I really hope you enjoyed this post!
And I was thinking, if you can’t find this book in the library or shop, you probably read my posts.
And if there is something that you really want to know/you are interested in, then please tell me what it is in the comment section below and Inshallah I will do a post about it! Because my book has nearly everything.

  2. Animal world,
  3. Plant Kingdom,
  4. Amazing earth,
  5. Science and technology, and

Assalamu alaikum dear readers!

This is one of my first. NOT my first, because I didn’t take a picture of my first one. It’s the first ever one since I got my new Harumika set. I’m very exited and these ones are a trillion times better than the other ones! Much more colorful! I’m not doing random designs now Inshallah. I am planning to do a spring-summer collection and then I’ll do an Autumn-Winter collection! The thing I love about Harumika is that It’s just so easy and fun! It’s extremely addicting and you just get stuck to it. You just stick it in the back with a special Harumika stick.  Our family camera is stuffed with all my Harumika designs all the time now! It’s something I think everyone would love. Unless you don’t like fashion designing. And I do! That’s why I got an account on Harumika.com too!

Well, until further notice, here it is!

The first two are the same but with a different material wrapped around the skirt but the last two have a hearty belt. I was just experimenting with different things. Oh god, this is one out of … I don’t know how many Harumika designs! I’m sooooo exited. I play with it straight after I wake up, and whenever I have free time! It’s so fun and I’m happy alhamdulillah. Inshallah see you on my next post! Feel free to comment in the comment section below or just write anything you want!

Wassalamu alaikum!

Assalamu alaikum warahmtaulahi wabarakatu!

As you probably guessed already this is another post about my “Tell me what” book! What is a kaleidoscope is a very interesting topic I wanted to share with you. If you love different patterns and colors then you’ll love this post inshallah! Soooo, here goes!

A kaleidoscope resembles a short telescope with a rotating end-piece. When you look through a kaleidoscope, you will see a colourful, geometric pattern. Twisting the end-piece creates ever-changing, mesmerizing new patterns. A kaleidoscope consists of two or more mirrors laid lengthwise inside a tube. Colored beads, liquid-filled ampules or other small objects reside in the larger end of the tube.

download What is a KALEIDOSCOPE?

The viewer looks in one end and light enters the other end, reflecting off the mirrors. Typically, there are two rectangular lengthways mirrors. Setting off the mirrors at 45 degrees creates eight duplicate images of the objects, six at 60 degrees and 4 as 90 degrees. As the tube is rotated, the tumbling of the colored objects presents the viewer with varying colors and patterns.

Any arbitrary pattern of objects shows up as a beautiful symmetric pattern because of the reflections in the mirrors. Some sources claim that the kaleidoscope was known to ancient Greece, but the Scottish inventor, David Brewster, is credited with it’s modern invention in 1816.

FACT:
A prism is a transparent optical element with flat, polished surfaces that refract light.

Assalamu alaikum!

Today I decided to give you the tutorial of how to make the hedgehog I had shown you in my previous post! Hope your all feeling exited inshallah! It’s a picture tutorial but, it is very easy making one so inshallah you will find it very easy! Inshallah I’ll give you the tutorial with pictures and commentary.

1.

IMG 3930 300x199 Tutorial: how to make a hedgehog out of fruit!

you will need: lots of toothpicks, red and green grapes and a pear with the stick.

Getting all the ingredients together :)

2.

IMG 3934 300x199 Tutorial: how to make a hedgehog out of fruit!

peeling the pear :)

With a knife, mark a line all around the pear. Don’t cut it too hard! Otherwise your pear won’t be strong enough and it might break.
Then, peel it starting from the marked line all the way to the stick.

3.

a cut pear...

Then, when you finished peeling, cut the pear. Cut a small piece and keep the bigger one. This is how your hedgehog can stay still while you stick in the grapes! You have to obviously put the flat side down!

4.

Stick in the tooth picks! And the grapes :D

This is where all the tooth picks come in! Stick the tooth picks in the pear. If your using large grapes, put them in a bit. But if your using medium ones, stick them in about halfway. And don’t put them too close together. The grapes won’t fit if you do!

5.

WOW! Spiky!

Done!

Actually, I mean nearly done!
If you want you could just stop there but to make it look more cute you could just carry on :)

6.

Cute <3

With a tooth pick, make two holes and stick clovers in the holes for eyes. And put a bright red grape on the stick for a cute little nose!

And this is the end of my very long post. I’ve never made such a long post with lots of pictures before and today I did! I’m very happy alhamdulillah :D Please feel free to leave a comment in the comment section below. I hope you enjoyed this post inshallah. I love blogging!

Do you like it as much as I do?! I loved it and I couldn’t wait to pick out all the grapes. He’s got a funny little nose too! Oh and the eyes are made out of cloves. We arranged the grapes in a pattern to make it more nice, if you can see. All the greens are in a row and the so are the reds. I found it very fun alhamdulillah and maybe you could make a hedgehog too! You can make whatever you like. Well, I need to go now. Alhamdulillah I have made a post today and Inshallah see you on my next post!
